By using our website or placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) and the documents referred to within them. We reserve the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. References to “YOLK”, “we”, “us”, “our” are references to YOLK Korea and YOLK USA Inc, a company registered in South Korea (company number 215-24-00670 [Korea], 69937187 [USA] ), with registered offices at #704, 11-41, Simin-daero 327beon-gil, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea (ZIP CODE: 14055). By using the Services, you (a) acknowledge that you have read, understand, and expressly agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions; (b) agree to follow these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations governing our Services; and (c) represent and warrant that you (i) are at least 18 years old, (ii) have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions (either on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent if you are using the Services on behalf of an entity). If you are under age 13, you may not, under any circumstances or for any reason, use the Services. If you do not agree with the foregoing, you are not authorized to use the Services in any manner.

 

PRICES AND PAYMENT

We only accept payment by PayPal, Credit Card, American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

 

ORDERS

By placing an Online Order or a Phone Order with us, you confirm that the information you provide is true, accurate and complete in all respects. By placing an order you confirm that you are over 18 years of age.

 

ONLINE ORDER PROCESS

The steps required for a binding contract between you and YOLK are outlined below:  From the cart page, click “Proceed to Check Out.” (If you have coupon, you can fill in coupon number in the middle of the page.)After fill in all the required information, and tick a box in the left bottom that says “I’ve read and consent the Terms & Conditions,” press the “Proceed to Paypal” button at the right bottom side of the online checkout page. The page will direct you to the PayPal log in page.Customer who have PayPal account can log in.For those who don’t have PayPal account can click the below grey button “Pay with Debit or Credit Card.” Please fill in your (the customer’s) credit card information, valid contact number and the address. It is important to note that local import taxes and additional charges are NOT included in the price of your order. Meaning, local import taxes can be applied to your shipping fee and it is not shown when you checkout. Thus we recommend you to check with your local customs office prior to your order.

 

SHIPMENT / CUSTOMS

All orders will be processed and shipped as soon as possible, within 2 business days. Many orders ship on the same day. Your holiday and Korean holiday might be different, so please check Korean Calendar if you didn’t receive your order confirmation email within 2 business days. Order confirmation email can be received after the product is sent. Order can be placed once the payment is cleared. Transaction from PayPal normally takes about 2 – 3 days. Then all orders will be processed and shipped as soon as possible, within 2 business days. Many orders ship on the same day. Once an order is processed and shipped, please allow 5 to 10 business days for standard shipping. Currently most retail orders are shipped via FedEx standard. Depending on the destination country, we might ship via DHL or EMS, both in a standard shipment. As soon as the order is shipped, you will receive the order confirmation email with a tracking number. You can track your shipment from the carrier’s website. International orders may be subject to local taxes, import duties or other local requirements. Please note that all applicable duties, tariffs, fees and any additional charges for customs clearance are the customer’s responsibility. Shipment to P.O boxes, AFO or FPO addresses is not permitted. It is important to note that import taxes and additional charges are NOT included in the price of your order. Most shipments are delivered free of sales taxes and VAT (value added tax) from South Korea. However, in occasional cases, your country’s customs agency may charge these duties and taxes and YOLK does not hold any responsibility for this. Since customs policies and import duties vary from country to country, it might be a good idea to check with your local customs office prior to your order. If the products are not accepted by the customer within 7 days of the purchase, the product is deemed to have been rejected by the customer. In this case, the product is likely to get disposed or returned back to YOLK. YOLK does not have any responsibility for such case.

 

CANCELLATION OF ORDER

The cancellation is only applicable if you didn’t get order confirmation with tracking number. To cancel, please contact HERE.

 

ANY DAMAGES OR SHORTAGES

All claims of shortages or damages suffered in transit must be submitted directly to YOLK within the guaranteed 1 year period. YOLK reserves the right to make partial shipments. YOLK is not bound to deliver any Products for which you have not provided shipping instructions, which include a valid email and phone number where you may be reached. Products may not be returned without the prior written consent of YOLK (refer to Returns and Exchanges Policy) through our Returns form stated above.

 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of product on our website are accurate and kept up to date. But we do not guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation. It is the responsibility of the user to evaluate the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any option, content available through the services on the YOLK site. Please seek the advice of professionals, as appropriate, regarding the product or content.

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES POLICY

Unwanted products cannot be returned for a refund even though they are in their original condition. Refund option cannot be made. Please refer to Exchange Policy. Purchases made on an event day or with other promotional discount, or flash sales won’t be applicable for the exchanges. The return request should be made within 7 days of the purchase with the proof of purchase.

 

REFUND POLICY

– Purchased but Not yet shipped: 10% of the product price will be charged as PROCESSING FEE.

– Shipped, but customer asks YOLK team for a refund before receiving the item: some amount will be deducted for handling the returning good, shipping from your place to the warehouse, restocking fee and customs taxes. The deduction fee varies depending on the customer’s location.

– Refund is not possible due to customer’s change of mind after receiving the product.

– NO Refund for Sale (or event) items. Items bought during sales period (including events) are NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE EXCHANGED NOR REFUNDED.

 

EXCHANGE POLICY

We don’t accept product exchange without appropriate reasons by mutual agreement from both YOLK and the Customer. We can only accept exchanges of an originally defective product (not physically broken or damaged) with all accessories and in its original box/packaging within 7 days from purchase.
If you received a defective product that exhibits damage not associated with normal wear, we will be happy to replace and ship it back to you at no cost provided that your product is returned with proof and date of purchase. Solar Paper is made of thin Mono crystalline solar panel with FR4. If you try to bend it, it can be broken. It is considered to ‘incorrect or abusive use’, Returns & Exchange policy is not applicable to it. Also, the policy is not applicable to: (i) normal wear and tear; (ii) defects or damage caused by misuse, incorrect or abusive use, accident (including without limitation; collision, fire and the spillage of food or liquid), neglect, abuse, alteration, unusual stress, modification, improper or unauthorized repair or improper storage.
To generate power with solar energy, it is really important to fulfill the conditions below.

1. Use it outdoor with direct sun light (No artificial light. near the window might work but not recommended.)

2. sunny day. (Cloud and polluted air are not ideal)

3. Setting: Let the panel perpendicular to the sun light. You can check the numbers displayed on LCD screen(Showing us the numbers on LCD). Bigger number means better condition of sun light and better position for the setting.

4. Check the panels connection. Solar Paper guide that we enclosed in a package is showing the right way to connect panels.

5. Make sure that the metal connectors are clean without any metal debris(It will hinder the flow).

You can find most of answers from the Solar Paper guide we enclosed. But do not hesitate to contact us if you have any inquiry. If the product is found to be not eligible for exchanges, the shipping for both ways will be billed on the customer. If the product is found to be eligible for exchanges as listed above, the shipping cost from the customer to YOLK should be paid by the customer and YOLK will bear the shipping cost from YOLK to the customer.

However occasionally the destination country’s customs agency may select your shipment for assessment and could charge these duties and taxes. Since customs policies and import duties vary from country to country, it might be a good idea to check with your local customs office before you order. Paying the import taxes and/or additional charges is the customer’s responsibility of each country. This cannot be a reason for exchange.

Please note that until the item reaches the headquarter; the item that is sent for exchanges will be your responsibility. Therefore, we advise you to securely package the items in bubble wrap and send them in a padded/secure box to prevent any damage.

Plus, we advise you to use a carrier that make sure the item is shipped safely without any lost. We are not responsible for any lost packages nor any damages.

 

EXCHANGE PROCESS

YOLK Online Orders or Phone Orders should be returned to the below address within 1 week from the date of Order, after mutual consent of the customer and YOLK is made. Please provide YOLK team with valid contact number and address.

PRODUCT WARRANTY

Unauthorized resales are not supported by manufacturer’s warranty. If you purchase Solar Paper or Solarade from an unauthorized dealer; 12 months warranty (if ordinarily offered) does not apply and the Solar Paper or Solarade will not be eligible for product support from YOLK.

 

12 MONTHS LIMITED WARRANTY
YOLK, inc. warrants to you, the original purchaser (“Consumer”), that Solar Paper and Solarade (“Product”) will under normal use, operate substantially in accordance with the accompanying documentation, for a period of twelve months from the date of original purchase.
Consumer’s sole and exclusive remedy, and YOLK, lnc.’s sole and exclusive responsibility under this warranty will be, at YOLK, lnc.’s option, to replace the defective Product during the twelve months limited warranty period so that it performs substantially in accordance with the accompanying documentation on the date of the initial purchase. Any replacement may be, at the option of YOLK, lnc. a new or remanufactured Product. Any benefits to the Consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies that the Consumer may be entitled to under law.
The forgoing warranty is limited to Product and is not applicable to: (i) normal wear and tear; (ii) defects or damage caused by misuse, accident (including without limitation; collision, fire and the spillage of food or liquid), neglect, abuse, alteration, unusual stress, modification, improper or unauthorized repair or improper storage (iii) used not in accordance with the documentation; and (iv) damage caused by or to the equipment with which the Product is used.
To obtain warranty service for any Product that is subject to the foregoing warranty, all the following conditions must be met:
1. The order number of your Product must be verified by YOLK, Inc. for date of purchase. The order number can be found in the order confirmation email which you received on the date of purchase.
2. All accessories originally included with your Product must be included for exchanages. Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping the Product to YOLK, Inc. and assume all risk of loss or damage to the Product while in transit to YOLK, lnc.
YOLK, lnc. may offer the Consumer a replacement Product upon receipt and verification of returned product.
YOLK, Inc. shall bear the cost of shipping a replacement Product to the Consumer.

 

WARRANTY AND REMEDY TERMS & CONDITIONS

If you return Product to YOLK (a) without agreement of YOLK or (b) without all parts included in the original package; YOLK retains the right to either refuse delivery of such return or refuse replacement.
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable unless YOLK determines that: (1) the charges requested are legitimate and reasonable; and (2) the Product is inoperable and/or fails to operate substantially in accordance with the accompanying documentation through no fault of the original purchaser or through no fault of a third person, including the limitations and/or disqualifying actions expressed in the YOLK, 12 months Limited Warranty.
The limited warranty and remedy extends only to Consumer and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser or user.

Other than as required under applicable Consumer Protection Law, under no circumstance will YOLK be liable for any loss for damage caused by a user’s.
